Color Options of Anodized Aluminum Profiles

Typical anodized colors of aluminum include:
    Clear or Silver
This is the natural color of the aluminum after anodizing, which provides a protective and decorative finish while maintaining the metallic appearance.
    Black
Anodized black aluminum is a popular choice for architectural and decorative applications due to its sleek and modern appearance.
    Bronze
Anodized bronze aluminum offers a warm, earthy tone that is often used in architectural and design applications.
    Gold
Anodized gold aluminum provides a rich, metallic finish that is often used for decorative and ornamental purposes.
    Champagne
This color is a light, muted gold tone that is commonly used in architectural and interior design applications.
    Blue and Green
Anodized aluminum can also be dyed to achieve various shades of blue and green, offering a unique and colorful finish.
These are some of the typical anodized colors of aluminum, but it’s important to note that custom colors can also be achieved through the anodizing process by using different dyes and techniques.

What Is Anodization In Aluminum Profile Treatment?

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that transforms aluminum surfaces into a durable, corrosion-resistant and decorative surface. The process involves immersing aluminum profiles in an electrolyte solution and passing an electric current through it, creating an oxide layer on the aluminum surface.
The key steps involved in the anodizing process are as follows:

Pretreatment: Clean aluminum profiles to remove surface contaminants such as oil, grease and dirt to ensure proper adhesion of the anodized layer.

Anodizing tank: The cleaned aluminum profile is immersed in an electrolyte solution (usually sulfuric acid) and used as an anode in the circuit. The cathode is also placed in the bath and electric current is passed through the solution.

Oxide formation: When current passes through the electrolyte, oxygen ions are released from the aluminum surface, and the oxygen ions react with the aluminum to form a layer of aluminum oxide. This layer grows onto the surface of the aluminum, forming a durable protective coating.

Sealing:  After the aluminum profile is anodized, it may be sealed to further enhance the corrosion resistance and durability of the anodized layer. This may involve hot water sealing, steam sealing or the use of proprietary sealing solutions.
The anodizing process can also include the option of staining aluminum profiles to achieve a specific color or finish. This is achieved by introducing organic or inorganic dyes into the anodizing bath, allowing the color to be absorbed into the porous anodized layer.
Anodized aluminum profiles are widely used in construction, industrial and decorative applications due to their corrosion resistance, durability, aesthetics and environmental sustainability.
